travelART 2010 - Norway Trip
Very soon I'll be flying to Oslo, a place I've not visited before. Now obviously this photo was not taken in Oslo but as I've not been there I don't have any images to share! I'll be there for close to a week attending a conference before catching the train to Bergen.
I was wondering if any of my readers could direct me to shops I should visit, restaurants in which I should eat and things I simply must not miss whilst in Oslo and Bergen? I'll be doing this for the next few Wednesday's so if Norway is not your thing, next week I'll be asking for travel tips for Finland.
I won't be posting again until next week but I'm looking forward to reading your travel tips. If commenting is not your thing please send an email to info@jillianleiboff.com
Bye for now,
Jillian
Hi
ReplyDeleteIn Oslo; The Vigeland Sculpture Park, the New Opera House and the new Holmenkollen Ski Jump are very popular attractions and great photo shoots as well.
In Bergen: the old Hanseatic wharf, Bryggen, is featured on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, comprises the remains of the old harbour buildings and is one of the best known medieval city settlements in Norway
Fløibanen Funicular and the Fish Market
By taking the short ride with the Fløibanen Funicular from the city centre to the top of the Fløien Mountain (320 metres above sea level), you have a golden opportunity to view the city, the mountains, the fjords and the sea.
You may then take an easy walk through delightful scenery to bring you back down to the hustle and bustle of the Bergen Fish Market.
You will find all the info you need and links at http://www.visitnorway.com
Have a nice trip
